Day of the Dead Parade – Austin, TX
It was a chilly Saturday morning downtown with a bit of wind blowing. It was my turn to ‘lead’ a NAPƒS photo stroll, this one being Viva la Vida, the annual Dia de los Muertos parade down around 6th Street and Congress Ave.
I arrived before the agreed meeting time, and there was already lots of activity on 5th Street. As more and more participants arrived the parade started taking shape.
I ran into around half-dozen club members and hung with different folk while walking the staging area. I got a few decent portraits and random shots with my Through the Viewfinder rig.
I had lunch with Andrew and Cynthia just before the parade started at a taco stand on East 6th. Tasty.
